I started my writing journey in 2018 after I made a conscious decision to quit my stable job and work for myself as an artist. I knew I had to find another side hustle to make ends meet, so I decided to take up writing.

Since I was a little girl, I have always been fascinated with storytelling. From fan fiction to true crime, to blogging on Livejournal — my love for writing came naturally.

When I first came across Medium, I was instantly wooed. I can write anytime I want and make money off of it? Seemed too good to be true.

At first, it was a struggle. But once I found my voice and developed myself as a writer, I saw the money pouring in.

I’ll admit it though — I haven’t always been consistent. After my career took off, I was debating whether or not I should stop writing on Medium since I saw a decline in my earnings.

The reason for my decline is that I got too busy in my other work that I hadn’t been able to write as much.

But then one day I saw $1200 in my bank account from Medium, even though I hadn’t written in years. I logged in and saw that one of the articles I wrote in the past had went viral.
